Direct Care Workers
New Directions Wrap Services is currently hiring for the following direct care worker positions (these are listed with position title):
Skill Builders: Skill builders design and provide activities that assist the child and or family in acquiring, developing and accessing functional skills needed to live successfully in the community. This may include areas such as budgeting, shopping, completing tasks, socializing and activities of daily living.
Mentors: A mentor is a caring individual who is willing to be a good listener and non-judgmental friend to a person in need of attention. Mentors help their friends by meeting regularly on a one-on-one basis; helping to focus on goals, academic and/or personal; and encouragement to accomplish those goals. A mentor is a positive role model who expands the person’s awareness of alternatives to drugs, despair and alcohol abuse, school drop out and other problems that confront many kids today.
Tutors: Education majors in all subjects. A tutor works with students in elementary school and high school helping give students the skills to problem solve and helps with homework in specific subject matter.
